NBA History: Nikola Jokic Records First 30-20-20 Triple-Doble


Denver nuggets The Nikola Jokic star became the first player in the NBA history to register a 30-20-20 triple in the exciting victory of the extra times of Friday night over the Phoenix Suns.

And his reaction to the historical feat was exactly what Jokic’s fans would expect to hear the Serbian Basketball player.

“It is not supposed to go that way,” Jokic said. “I was talking to (Aaron Gordon), and he told me: ‘That was a quiet 30 points.’ I did nothing special, it just seemed that everyone was in flow.”

Jokic told Sportscentr separately after the game that he can really appreciate the achievement when “on my sofa” after his career ends.

“I can’t describe it, so don’t ask me,” said Denver coach Michael Malone, journalists after the game. “The guy is an incredible player, and when you are one of this league, with the tremendous story of this league, that says a lot. There are many good players in this league, but Nikola, in my opinion, is in a class by itself.”

2024-25 MVP MVP of the NBA: SGA favored Jokić in a career of two men

Jokic finished the night with 31 points, 21 rebounds and a maximum of 22 assists in the extra-time victory 149-141 of the Nuggets over The suns.

He also tied the franchise record with his 29th triple-double of the season, and is currently located in the top three in the League with an average of 28.9 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game.

“He is only unique,” added Christian Braun. “You will never see anything like that again, never again. You will never see a player who does the things he does at night and night.”
