The Memphis Grizzlies star, Ja Morant, may not have had a physical weapon in his hand, but a gesture related to the gun on the court has led to an NBA investigation, according to ESPN.
During the Grizzlies match against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, Morant was seen making a gesture of weapons towards the Warriors’ Bench.
The act saw Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, two Golden State stars, visibly upset by hard wood, with the latter trying to declare the referee to do something to discipline Morant.

League officials will look for Morant and Hield after Tuesday night’s game and “talk to parties involved as soon as Wednesday,” Espn said.

The history of Morant with suspensions related to weapons caused the gesture to explode worldwide.
He was suspended for eight games in March 2023 after flying a gun on social networks at the Striptease Willie club outside Denver.
Then, Morant was docked the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season after he showed a gun again in a live video on social networks.

“Ja Morant’s decision to exert once again a firearm on social networks is alarming and disconcerting given his similar behavior in March for which eight games was already suspended,” said NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, at the time of his second suspension.
“The potential for other young people to emulate JA’s behavior is particularly worrying. In these circumstances, we believe that a suspension of 25 games will not be tolerated and makes it clear that reckless and irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated with weapons.
“For Ja, basketball needs to spend a background at this time. Before his return to the game, he will be asked to formulate and meet a program with the league that directly addresses the circumstances that led him to repeat this destructive behavior.”
Morant commented at that time, saying that he realized “how much pain I have caused.”
“I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates and the city of Memphis. A Adam Silver, Zach Kleiman and Robert Pera, who gave me the opportunity to be a professional ath “
