The New York Knicks plan to hire a Tom Thibodeau successor does not seem to go so well at the beginning of the low NBA season.
It was rumored that the team was interested in the former assistant coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jordan Ott, before taking the work of training of the head of the Phoenix Suns and the associated coach of the Cavaliers, Johnnie Bryant, whom the Knicks have not yet pressed the trigger to bring.

Among those reported on the list were Jason Kidd by Dallas Mavericks, Chris Finch, Minnesota Timberwolves, Rockets ‘Ime Uudoka and Atlanta Hawks’ Quin Snyder. All in vain.

“The Knicks have to be the damn people of the world,” Barkley said on NBA television before game 3 of the NBA finals. “You don’t shoot any good coach like that and you don’t have a plan. I mean, Thibs did an infernal job, obviously something is happening there.
The Knicks fired Thibodeau after the team reached its most remote place in the postseason since 2000.

New York was 51-31 and has a decent team built around Jalen Brunson. It is not clear what the low season will have for the organization.
