NBA News: Michael Jordan will join NBC as ‘Special Collaborator’

Michael Jordan will return to basketball next season.

The six -time NBA champion and the legend of the Chicago Bulls will be a “special taxpayer” for the coverage of the NBC League, since the network is scheduled to transmit games from this year.

The announcement was made during the initial presentation of NBC in New York.

“I am very excited to see NBA back at NBC,” he said in a press release. “The NBA in NBC was a significant part of my career, and I am excited to be a special taxpayer to the project. I hope to see them all when the NBA is launched in NBC this October.”

Jordan has been far from the game for almost two years after he sold his participation in the Charlotte Hornets in August 2023 for more than $ 3 billion. He has directed his attention to 23xi Racing and the search for a Nascar championship.

Comcast assured an 11 -year media rights agreement for NBA games last July. ESPN/ABC and Amazon will also have NBA games. NBC will also transmit them in peacock.
