
Neal McDonough paid a considerable price for its no kiss rule for its acting roles.
Neal, which appeared in successful shows like Desperate Housewives, Minority Report, American Horror Story, and CostumesHe shared that Hollywood executives stopped throwing him when he refused to kiss a woman on the screen.
While appearing in the Nothing was said POdcast (exclusive shared by TMZ), said he had always written it in his contracts that would not kiss on the screen.
Neal, who shares five children with his wife Ruvé Robertson, has been married to her since 2003 and pointed out that it was not his wife who asked her to stay away from kissing other women.
“I had always had in my contracts that I didn’t kiss another woman on the screen,” McDonough said. “My wife had no problem with that. I was me, really, who had a problem with that. When I couldn’t do it, and they couldn’t understand it, Hollywood became completely. They wouldn’t let me be part of the show.”
He shared: “For two years, I couldn’t get a job and lost everything you could imagine.”
“Not only houses and material things, but your arrogance, you are great, who you are, your identity, everything. My identity was an actor and a very good one. And once you do not have that identity, you are lost in a tail,” he explained.
