Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s CardVault store in New York City was robbed last month for nearly $10,000 in trading cards.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted in connection with a grand theft incident that occurred at CardVault by Tom Brady in SoHo on October 20, shortly before noon.

Authorities say the suspect attempted to use a credit card to pay for the merchandise, but once the transaction was declined, video surveillance showed the suspect begin entering manual prompts into the contactless payment terminal without the employee’s knowledge to prevent the declined transaction.

“The wanted individual is described as a male of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black hoodie, black shorts, white socks, white sneakers and a multi-colored bag,” the NYPD told Pak Gazette Digital.

“We are seeing a lot of customers finding interest in our individual cards or individual cards,” Costa told PIX11. “I think Pokémon in general is a very popular category across a very broad demographic.”

Costa added that there is a way to track the cards once they leave the store because “they are unique or have a serial number.”

CardVault has its own dedicated loss prevention team that works alongside the NYPD.
