The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has confirmed that India used the weapons supplied by Tel Aviv during the “Sindor operation”, the cross -border military campaign in which New Delhi attacked the Pakistani positions under the pretext of aiming “terrorists.”

The four -day confrontation, which exploded after India, without presenting evidence, blamed Pakistan for a deadly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, saw artillery duels, attacks with unmanned airplanes and air attacks exchanged between the two rivals to nuclear armed.

In response to Indian aggression, the Armed Forces of Pakistan launched a large-scale military action, called “Operation Bunyan-Mou-Marsososoos” and attacked several Indian military objectives in multiple regions.

Pakistan knocked six Indian combat planes, including three raffles and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nations with nuclear weapons ended on May 10 with a high -fire agreement negotiated by the United States.

In a publication about X, Netanyahu said he met the Indian ambassador to Israel, JP Singh, to discuss the strengthening of “security and economic” cooperation “, before addressing the main Indian journalists.

Indian Media reported that he acknowledged that the systems supplied by the Israelis, including the air missiles of Barak-8 and the Arpia drones, played a key role in India’s operations.

“The things we provided before worked very well in the field … we developed our weapons in the field and are tested in battle,” said Netanyahu, adding that Israel plans to intensify its military campaign in Gaza.

Weapons used against Pakistan

According to the Indian media, India deployed the Barak-8 missile system developed together together with the Arpy Israeli drones to counteract Pakistani missile attacks during the May conflict. The S-400 Russian S-400 antimisile defense system and several Indian manufacturing weapons were also used.

The Harpy drone is designed for the “suppression of enemy aerial defenses” and can autonomously detect and destroy radar systems with high-explosive eyelets, while the Barak-8 system offers 360 degree coverage and the ability to intercept multiple air threats within a 100 km range.

Israel’s support to India

Israel’s support for India’s action was explicit. Kobbi Shoshani, the consul general of Israel in Mumbai, called on the Sindoor operation “self -defense action” and said he was “very proud” of it.

Israel remains one of the largest weapons suppliers in India, with more than $ 2.9 billion in hardware exports to New Delhi during the last decade, including radars, drones and missile systems. Despite his ongoing war against Gaza, Israel has maintained uninterrupted deliveries of weapons to India.

The other main suppliers of India are Russia ($ 21.8 billion), France ($ 5.2 billion) and the United States ($ 4.5 billion).
