The second most popular television program in Netflix Worldwide comes directly from Scotland, and is accumulating raves criticism, which makes it one of the best Netflix programs. Department q Each of the five stars that is receiving, because it is an absolute explosion deserves.
Department q So far it has been two weeks at the Top Ten of Netflix for global television, with 8.9 million visits and 73,400,000 hours, so almost all those who begin to see it continue to watch.
At first glance, the program is just another police drama. You know the guy: Maverick Cop fighting against demons, a woman in danger at the hands of a sinister figure. But it is much more than that, that’s why I inhaled every episode.

What is good for department Q?
The program is based on the stories of Danish detectives of JUSSI Adler-Olsen, but the action has moved to Edinburgh in Scotland. Matthew Goode plays Detective Carl Morck, and it is clear that man is an insufferable butt that is held by many of his colleagues, even after surviving a murderous event. That event has terrible consequences for his friend and partner, played by the always brilliant Jamie Sives, and it is clear that Monck is increasingly heavy because of that.
Monck has the work of investigating cold cases, and receives a team of misfit colleagues: former Siriram Police officer Akram Salim (Alexjev Manvelov), a lovely man with many secrets and cadet Rose Rose (Leah Byrne) well intentional but traumatized. Together they focus on a single case: the disappearance of lawyer Merritt Linguard (Chloe Pirie).
What follows is an extremely tense race against the time to find and save Merritt, intertwined with the interpersonal dramas of Monck, his team and his home. It is often a lot of fun, especially in house bits, and the script is an intelligent and sharp whip at all times. And the cast is brilliant, with excellent performances at all times and the welcome appearances of Mark Bonnar, Kelly Macdonald and Sanjeev Kholi.
Without giving any spoilers, I need to warn that the central disappearance drums a lot on the edge of voyeurism: I am not a big fan of seeing women (or any other person) undergoing terrible treatment and I think that in a couple of cases the camera stayed a little in things in the way the show of Idris Elba Elba Elba Luther Sometimes he did. But maybe I’m easily upset.
Yes, like me, you are Scottish, it is also fun to have a nitpicking: why do everyone in Edinburgh have a Glasgow accent? Don’t you know that the pub is not close to that city? Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sives have to appear in everything (not that I complain)? And it is interesting to compare what you can do with a Netflix budget compared to the much more modest media of Scotland stations: I am often excited about the arrival of a new its own harvest drama only to be deeply disappointed. While I loved this.
Department q It currently has 84% in Rotten Tomatoes of critics and 94% of spectators. It is available to transmit in Netflix now.
