The New Jersey Devils star, Jack Hughes, suffered a brutal shoulder injury in Sunday night against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The Devils sought to recover at least one goal from the Golden Knights at the end of the third period. Nico Hischier took a shot, and Hughes could not corner the rebound. Hughes then crashed with Golden Knights Jack Eichel star and crashed into the boards.

Hughes skated ice when his right arm seemed to hang.
“Obviously, he didn’t look good,” said the coach of the Devils, Sheldon Keefe, after the game. “We will have to take the time to know the total scope. It is difficult to see, it is especially a play similar to the one asked at the beginning of the period.”
Luke Hughes, Jack’s brother, was excited when he entered the locker room when the media gathered to conduct an interview after the game, according to Associated Press.

Jack Hughes has been the best demon player since he joined the main list. He led the Devils with 27 goals and 70 points in the team.
New Jersey lost to Vegas, 2-0. The Devils fell to 33-23-6 in the year and are in third place in the Metropolitan Division.

The Devils have only been in the playoffs twice since they lost in the Stanley Cup final in 2012 against Los Angeles Kings.
