A new report has apparently shed light on the identity of The man of tomorrowThe main villain, and he could be someone fans have speculated about since the movie was announced.
Since DC Studios co-head James Gunn revealed the title and release date of his Superman In the follow-up movie, countless people have commented on the possibility of its main antagonist being Brainiac. In fact, Gunn confirms a big fan theory about The man of tomorrowHis plot seems to mock its main villain through an image of The man of tomorrowAfter the finished script, the common consensus is that Brainiac will face both Superman and Lex Luthor.
Now, a new casting description for The man of tomorrowThe antagonist-in-chief has provided new evidence that Brainiac will be enemy number one. According to fan site Nexus Point News, sources close to the production of the DC Universe (DCU) film have suggested that this individual will have green skin and a highly advanced augmented body.
Understandably, a lot of makeup and prosthetics are needed to bring the movie’s Big Bad to life, so whoever is chosen to play said character will have to get used to spending long hours sitting in a hairdressing, makeup, and prosthetic chair once filming begins.
It has to be said that when it comes to getting exclusive information, Nexus Point News’ track record is decidedly mixed. My advice, then, is to take this last information with a pinch of salt.
Whether Nexus Point News’ report is accurate or not, it’s an interesting talking point, especially since Brainiac isn’t the only DC comics villain who could fit the aforementioned description.
As Nexus and fans on Reddit have pointed out, Mongul, another technologically advanced supervillain with ties to Superman, is also a potential candidate. Principal photography to begin at Gunn’s Superman sequel in April 2026, it may not be long until all this speculation about the movie’s villain is over.
