A new autopsy was performed in Hyderabad with the journalist Khawar Hussain, who was found shot dead in Sanghar on Sunday. The measure remains serious concerns about the defects in the initial autopsy carried out in Sanghar.
According to X reports, the new exam is being carried out at the request of Khawar’s brother and after a directive by the Sindh Police Inspector General. Previously, official sources had marked discrepancies in the initial autopsy report, asking questions about the cause of death.
Hussain, a Karachi -based journalist, was shot dead on Sunday in Sanghar. According to the police and the initial investigations, he was discovered inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound, parked outside a private hotel in Hyderabad Road on Saturday night.
A licensed gun, registered in his name, was found in his hand. According to reports, CCTV images show that he was alone on the scene, entering and leaving the hotel bath several times before returning to his car.
The journalist’s family arrived in Karachi from the United States on Monday morning. They arrived at Jinnah International Airport before traveling to Hyderabad and then to Sanghar.
Hussain’s father told journalists: “Khawar was a very brave man. He couldn’t have shot himself. This is a murder.” He added: “We had no disputes or conflicts with anyone.”

A day before, a high -level investigation committee formed to investigate the mysterious death of the veteran journalist, the authorities confirmed.
The Committee is headed by the additional inspector of the Department of Terrorism, Azaad Khan, and includes Dig West Irfan Baloch and SSP Sanghar Abid Baloch as members. The notification was officially issued by Dig Crime and Investigation Aamir Faooqi.
The panel has had the task of reviewing all aspects of the case and is expected to present its findings to the Inspector General of the Sindh Police in two days.
