The Minister of Planning and Development, Ahsan IQBAL, has expressed his confidence that the next 10 years of phase II CPEC will have a transformative impact on people’s lives.
Inform the media in Beijing after the 14th Meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee of Pakistan-China, said that phase II CPEC, which has been formally launched, will generate employment opportunities and cause structural changes in Pakistan’s economy, which will lead him to become a more advanced economy.
I was sure that the results of the meeting of the joint coordination committee would further accelerate cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Iqbal said that the second phase of CPEC focuses on the modernization of Pakistan agriculture, the expansion of industrial cooperation and the creation of technological associations. He said he will also focus on deepening people people to people.

He mentioned that phase II CPEC foresees five runners: the growth corridor, the media corridor, the innovation corridor, the green corridor and the opening/regional connectivity corridor.
He said that the road map established for the second phase of CPEC is centered on people and will promote inclusive development.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan will develop a strong capacity in the performance of the export sector with Chinese experience. He said that both parties have discussed the creation of a future CPEC skills program, Robotics, Fintech and Biotechnology, adding that intelligent climate agricultural projects for sustainable development will be introduced.
He said that the two countries have agreed to start working in the realignment of Karakoram Highway Phase-II. We will also work together in a mineral corridor in Baluchistan to connect Gwadar with minerals in northern Baluchistan. This, he emphasized, will make the port of Gwadar commercially very attractive.
Ensuring full security for Chinese projects and workers in Pakistan, the Planning Minister said that Pakistan-China’s friendship is unwavering and rooted in mutual trust. He said that Pakistan and China together will frustrate the designs of sponsored elements on the foreigner that wish to interrupt progress and cooperation between the two countries.
