- Two new Samsung Galaxy watch models are on their way
- Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic have emerged, this time in regulatory presentations
- A listed battery is a bit larger than last year’s model, but it is not a massive update
The details of the next Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 line have appeared for the second time in just a few days, this time with our first track of the battery capacity for one of the models.
At the end of March, Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic was seen, pointing to four new Galaxy Watch models in 2025, two classic and two regular models, each with a Wi-Fi and a LTE version (cell connectivity).
Now, the presentations have been discovered in the Safetykorea certification database of South Korea, one of the innumerable global regulatory bodies with which device manufacturers have to register new new products, including the best Android smart watches, before they can go on sale.
As reported by Xpertpick, the batteries that will be presented in the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic seem to have appeared in the database. The power outlet coincides with the aforementioned firmware leak, indicating one battery for the Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic, respectively.
This would reinforce the idea that two new models are on their way, but it also gives us a small clue about the battery life.
Galaxy Watch 8 battery leaks
According to the report, only one of these battery presentations has a listing capacity, the Galaxy Watch 8. The battery is listed at 435 mAh, a very small increase over the Galaxy Watch 7. While that is that. technically Bigger, it is nothing to write, and probably will not yield any tangible results in terms of battery life performance.
And if Samsung has added more hungry features of energy to the new model, the battery life could only coincide with the model last year, and if so, you can wait for the Samsung qualification of around 22 hours. This is the largest 44 mm model, without information about the smallest version so far.
Definitely, that will not be enough to challenge the best Android watch for battery life at this time, the OnePlus Watch 3, but tells us that both smart watch models exist, and will probably be released in the early summer in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The absence of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in the database listings could indicate that the company will not launch an ultra model this year, and may be alternating between the classic and the ultra annually.
