He Flyadelphia flyers Announced on Thursday that the team would go from chief coach John Tortorella after his almost three years with the organization.
The decision to say goodbye to the coach, who won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004, occurred after he made a questionable comment about his “interest” in the training of “this type of season”.
The Flyers released a statement announcing their decision with only nine remaining games in the regular season. The associated coach Brad Shaw was appointed interim interim coach.

“Today I made the very difficult decision to move from John as our chief coach,” said General Manager Daniel Briere. “John played a vital role in our reconstruction. He established a game standard and restored what it means to be a flywheel.
“John’s passion at the bank was only matched by his charitable work in our community. As we advanced in the next chapter of this reconstruction, I felt that this was the best for our team to move forward. I would like to thank John for his tireless work and commitment to the Flyers.”
Tortorella, which has long been established as a meaningless leader, was 97-107-33 with the Flyers. He was fired with a remaining year in his contract. The decision to separate occurred during a brutal slide for the Flyers, who lost 11 of 12 games and won only six times in the last 25 games.

After the 7-2 defeat on Tuesday To Toronto, Tortorella seemed to blame, but made a strange comment regarding his training interest.
“When you are in this type of situation, and you are losing all the time, and there is nothing at the end of the tunnel for you, there will certainly be some frustration. But this falls on me. I am not really interested in learning to train in this type of season, where we are at this time,” he said, through Yahoo Sports.
“But I have to do a better job. So, this falls to me, prepare the team to play in the right way until we reach the end.”

“It is one of the things that has happened along the way. That is not the specific reason, and there is no specific reason,” Briere said.
