Jake Plummer at once of the NFL Jake Plummer had great praise for the alumni of the state of Arizona and the fourth round of the New York Giants, the CAM Skattebo corridor.
The state of Arizona arrived at the University Football playoff last season largely due to Skattebo, and Plummer “cannot believe” how far the star of Sun Devils fell in the NFL draft.
“I can’t believe he fell so far in the draft to be honest,” Plummer said during a recent appearance in “The Ricky Cobb Show” by Outkick.

“Once again, it is the narrative, it is not fast enough, it has too much wear on its rolling band, and it is like, these experts begin to speak, and these words come out, and can influence the decisions, but he found himself in the right place. He found himself in a city that will love what he puts in that field. I mean that he is a soccer player trying and realizing. That field.
“Regardless of whether it is a devil of the sun or not, the ball can run well, you can catch the ball well, and in this league it is better to know how to pass the block, and it can also have a good run from that runner position, so I think the giants obtained the theft of the draft,” said Plummer.
Skattebo finished fifth in the vote of the Heisman trophy last season after leading the Big 12 in yards by land. Skattebo ran for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns per land, while also caught 45 passes for 605 yards and three reception touchdowns.
Plummer said he recognized Skattebo’s potential during a spring practice a couple of years ago.

“My first impression of him, when I was very alerted to him and what he could do was in the practice of spring a few years ago, a couple of years ago in the state of Arizona. I came out and saw this child take each representative in the corridor, and he was in special teams, all the runners were injured that day,” said Plummer.
“He ran 30 yards in the field, he returned to the house.
No player at Big 12 had more hasty attempts or scrimmage plays than Skattebo last season. Plummer believes that Skattebo could end up being the theft of the NFL draft.
“I am excited to see how it is doing at the next level.”

The giants expect Skattebo to join Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the field and become one of the best NFL runner duos.
Last season, like a rookie from the fifth round of Purdue, Tracy began 12 games and ran for 839 yards and five touchdowns per land with 38 trapped for 284 yards and a receptive touchdown.
Plummer played at the NFL for 10 seasons. He spent six seasons with the Arizona cardinals and four with the Denver Broncos. In 136 race beginnings, Plummer’s record was 69-67 and had a perfect 1: 1 relationship of TouchDowns to interceptions, since he launched 161 TouchDowns and 161 interceptions in his career.
