Shedeur Sanders will probably be one of the first quartbacks taken in the NFL draft. The only question is when you will listen to your name on day 1.
The former Colorado Buffaloes star was the offensive player of the year Big 12 with 4,134 air yards and 37 TouchDown passes in the first season of the program at the conference.

Sanders brings great talent and a great surname in the NFL. He is the son of the member of the Hall of Fame Pro Football Deion Sanders, who was also his coach in Jackson State and Colorado. While the recognition of names together with the talent in the field is an important reason why Sanders could be selected as high as number 2 in the Draft, a NFL source suggested that a whirlwind of potential problems for a team could also bring.
“Now, at the NFL level, he will be without his father’s presence in football for the first time, and he will have to adapt to his new life as some players do when they go from school secondary to the university,” wrote Adam Schefter of ESPN in a story. “This, in the eyes of some, will be an opportunity for Sanders to grow, continue learning and take his game to an even higher level.
“And then this is: before Mike Tomlin of Pittsburgh, any other coach who writes Sanders better than feels comfortable with his position within the organization. Because if that team struggles and the fan base is asking for a change of training, speculation will begin to turn over Sanders’ father assuming the position.”

Schefter described the purchase of Sanders in Colorado as not “too restrictive.” It starts at $ 12 million if you leave before the last day of 2025. It would fall to $ 10 million in 2026.
Where Shedeur Sanders could also land it is also very in the air. Tennessee’s Titans seem to be focused on Cam Ward.
The Cleveland Browns and the New York giants are behind them and could also use a field marshal, although the giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in the low season.

Las Vegas Raiders at number 6 and the Saints of New Orleans at number 9 could also be candidates. The Pittsburgh Steelers need help from Mariscal de Campo, but that would mean that Sanders falls to No. 21.
