Tennessee’s Titans have made clear their intentions with the general selection number 1 in the NFL 2025 draft, at least when it comes to maintaining it or not.
It has been speculated that the Titans could trade out of position to start the draft in Green Bay this Thursday. However, General Manager Mike Borgonzi said the team is staying.
“We have reached a consensus,” he said. “We will choose at number 1 on Thursday night.”

The NFL network reported Tuesday that the Titans “never opened the door” to commercial possibilities. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns, who choose the second in general, and the New York giants, who follow them in number 3, are making their due diligence when receiving calls for possible exchanges.
With Borgonzi saying that it is a “consensus” movement to maintain the superior general selection, it seems that the main office is aligned with where they want to go. And all signs point to a field marshal.
Cam Ward de Miami has been the choice in practically all simulated drafts of experts and fans equally, and makes sense taking into account the current situation of the team’s field marshal. Will Levis, the team’s second round of the team in 2023, has not been accompanied in the last two seasons, and Tennessee brought the free agents Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle to compete this preseason.

Ward’s trust has been through the clouds during the process prior to the Draft, constantly reiterating his belief that he is the best field marshal in this class. That would be compared with other main options such as Sheders of Colorado and Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss.

He has even suggested that he will go to the Titans, saying during a live broadcast of Fortnite that his favorite players in certain positions throughout the league are current stars of Tennessee as Pollard and Treylon Burks. He also talked about his best chief coaches, placed Callahan first in general and followed him with the order of the Draft (Kevin Stefanski of the Browns, Brian Daboll de Giants, etc.).

The Titans had 3-14 last season in Callahan’s first year, but seek to add a difference of difference immediately with the first choice. Ward seems to be the goal, but the only certainty is that the Titans will send their card to the NFL Roger Goodell Commissioner, who will read that name in Green Bay on Thursday night.
