The six times $ 19.1 million per year is the highest average annual value for a closed wing in the history of the NFL. The $ 35 million of Kittle guaranteed in the firm are the most in the history of the NFL for a closed wing.
The average annual value of $ 19.1 million kittle is a hair above the average value of $ 19 million of Arizona Cardinals in the contract he signed previously in the low season.
Kittle was ready to enter the last year of a five -year agreement and $ 75 million signed in 2020. It did not appear during the first days of the volunteer of the team’s low season while waiting for a new agreement.

The two-time two times was a large part of the offensive for the 49ers last season, since it caught 78 passes for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games. Throughout his eight -year career, Kittle has been a great wing closed and emerged as a leader in the 49ers costume.
“In 2017, our first year with the 49ers, we selected a thin wing of Iowa whom we really excited. We had great hopes, but nobody knew it would become the player who is today,” said the general manager of the 49ers, John Lynch, in a statement.

“George’s leadership, the enthusiasm for the game, for his teammates, and the faithful are truly unique and special. It is an outstanding representation for the 49ers in the field and is an outstanding representative for the organization outside the field with their investment in local and military communities. It has a great sense of pride in its role and has put at work as one of the best tight purposes in the NFL.”
With the Kittle extension now made, Lynch has a more important box to mark this low season: the extension of the Brock Purdy field marshal. The possible extension of Purdy’s contract could exceed more than $ 50 million a year.
