The 132½ sacks of Taylor occupy second place in the list of all the giants. The 9½ captures he had during his rookie season in 1981 are not included in the total because the bags were not considered an official statistic at that time.
Carter accumulated 23 captures during his three seasons with the Nittany Lions and received the honors of the Big Ten defensive player after a strong 2024 campaign.

Carter fought for a shoulder injury during the university football playoff. It was also recently revealed that he is dealing with a stress reaction in his foot. However, it is unlikely that Carter needs to undergo surgery to address the problem, Espn reported.
If Carter ends with the giants, he would join a defensive line that already presents Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence.
