The Arizona cardinals made Trey McBride the best paid closed wing in the history of the NFL when they signed it with a contract extension on Friday.
McBride, 25, signed an extension of a four -year contract and $ 76 million, with $ 43 million guaranteed, according to numerous reports.
Before McBride’s extension, the closed star wing of the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, was the best paid wing, since it will win $ 17.1 million in 2025. The new McBride agreement has an average annual value of $ 19 million.

The cardinals selected McBride in the second round of the NFL 2022 draft outside the state of Colorado. The role of McBride in the offensive has grown every season.
As a rookie, McBride was the backup of the closed wing Zach Ertz and had 29 caught for 265 yards and a touchdown. However, an injury to Ertz in the second season of McBride opened the door to longer play time.
Ertz suffered a quadruple tension in week 7, and McBride took over the initial paper and never looked back. McBride finished his second season with 81 trapped and 825 yards with three touchdowns and emerged as one of the favorite objectives of the Kyler Murray field marshal in the final stretch.

McBride took another step last season, since he began 16 games and had 111 receptions for 1,146 yards and two touchdowns. His strong performance earned him a Pro Bowl selection.
McBride resorted to social networks to express his joy for his new contract.

Murray also turned to social networks to congratulate McBride.
“Maaaaan! So happy for my Dawg, it is worth every penny! More work to do, but a great day,” Murray published in X.
