The Dallas Cowboys acquired the Mariscal de Campo Joe Milton of the New England Patriots in an exchange on Thursday, according to numerous reports.
The Patriots exchanged Milton and a selection of the seventh round in exchange for the compensatory selection of the fifth round of the cowboys, according to ESPN.
Milton, 25, began a game for the Patriots last season after being selected by the team in the sixth round of the NFL 2024 Draft of Tennessee.

The only beginning of Milton for the Patriots arrived in week 18, when the Buffalo Bills played. The Patriots won that game 23-16 and Milton impressed in the victory, although playing most of the backup and depth players for the Bills, since they had secured their seed in the AFC playoffs.
In the victory, Milton completed 22 of 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown, while ran for 16 yards and also a touchdown.
The Patriots signed the Marshal of the Field Josh Dobbs in the free agency to be their support behind Drake Maye, which put Milton available for trade.

With Dak Prescott as the starting Marshal, Milton will slide as the team’s backing field. Cooper Rush and Trey Lance supported Prescott last year and the couple began nine combined games after Prescott suffered an injury to the hamstrings in week 9 that left him aside for the rest of the season.
However, Rush left for the Baltimore Ravens in free agency, while Lance remains a free agent.

With the reported incorporation of Milton and the departure of Rush, the Cowboys Campal Marshal Hall now consists of Prescott, Milton and Will Grier. Grier has only appeared in two NFL games since he was recruited by the Carolina Panthers in 2019.
Milton obtained the nickname of “Bazooka Joe” due to his strong launch arm. In his last season in Tennessee, he completed 64.7% of his passes for 2,813 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions.
