The owner of the Cowboys team, Jerry Jones, talked about approaching the “substantive shops” before or after the NFL draft, and seemed to meet part of that goal with the Pickens trade. This gives the Dak Prescott field a new weapon to launch, removing part of the pressure of the Ceedee lamb.
