The Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers have been linked for months in free agency, but that does not mean that a union is imminent.
According to reports, Rodgers, 41, has not given the Steelers any guarantee that he will sign with the team.
Rodgers “has not said affirmatively to the Steelers that comes,” said NFL Network Pelissero during a recent appearance in “The Rich Eisen Show.”

The four -time NFL MVP said it has not closed the door to retire.
“I am open to anything and I adhere to anything. Retirement could still be a possibility, but at this time my approach is and has been and will continue in my personal life … There are still conversations that are had,” Rodgers said in “The Pat McAfee Show” in April.
“I am in a different phase of my life. I am 41 years old. I am in a serious relationship. I have field things outside the field that requires my attention. I have personal commitments that I have done without knowing how my future would look after last year that are important to me.
“And I have a couple of people in my internal internal circle that are really fighting some difficult things. So, I have many things that attract my attention, and that really start in January, far from football.”

Voluntary low season practices are underway, but it remains to be seen if Rodgers decides to play football and sign with the Steelers or if he will decide to call him a race after 20 seasons.
With the New York Jets last season, Rodgers launched for 3,987 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games.
The Steelers last season had 10-7 with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as their regular field marshal. However, Wilson and Fields departed in free agency.

Fields went to the jets, and Wilson went to the New York giants.
The steelers have three quarterbacks on their list: Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and the Selection of the Sixth Round Draft Will Howard.
