The New York Jets Right Guard, Alijah Vera-Tucker, broke his triceps and will go out to the season, announced chief coach Aaron Glenn on Thursday.
Vera-Tucker, 26, suffered the injury in practice on Tuesday. It will undergo surgery and face a seven -month rehabilitation.
“He was a great player for us, but we have to keep rolling,” Glenn told reporters on Thursday.

Glenn said he is still evaluating who will take the place of Vera-Tucker in the initial alignment. Xavier Newman appears as the right support guard of the team.
Joe Tippmann, who began in the center the last two seasons, could take his place in the right guard, and Josh Myers could play in the center. Tippmann and Myers have competed for central work throughout the training camp.
Both appear as the possible holders in the unofficial depth table of the team this week and Glenn has said that both are still competing.
Vera-Tucker has played all positions on the offensive line, except the center since its rookie season.

The Jets selected Vera-Tucker with General Selection No. 14 in the NFL 2021 Draft. The former star of the University of Southern California has been productive when she is in the field, but has lost time over her four years of career.
