Possibly, the Cincinnati Bengals lost the playoffs last season due to their defense, but it does not seem that the main office sees any urgency to solve it.
The reports say that the team has given Trey Hendrickson, who led the NFL in captures last season, permission to find an exchange.
The 30 -year -old registered 17½ catches of his career during the 2024 season, but the Bengals have made it clear that, despite their defensive problems, they want to keep the receptors Ja’mar Chase and Tee Higgins, which believe that being expensive.

The players’ director, Duke Tobin, said at the NFL Scouting Combine that Chase, who recorded a triple reception crown last season, “will end up being the number 1 not paid in the league.”
Meanwhile, Higgins received the Bengal Franchise label, and the two parties are working for a long -term agreement.
Joe Burrow was in the MVP conversation, leading the NFL with 4,918 yards passing and 43 touchdowns. He finished fourth in the MVP vote, and 2,619 of the approved yards were distributed to Chase and Higgins. It could have been more if Higgins had not lost five games.
Hendrickson’s news occurs after Sam Hubbard retired earlier this week at the age of 29.

Hendrickson turned 30 in December, has been with Cincinnati since 2021 and has been an absolute robbery for them. He spent his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, but could not get numbers until his last season there, registering a maximum of his career at the time of 13½ catches after only 6½ in his first three seasons of the NFL.
Since the Bengals acquired it, he has published at least 14 captures in three of his four seasons. He has also done the Pro Bowl every season as a Bengal.

Hendrickson has a stop of almost $ 19 million, and the Bengals would save around $ 16 million with a trade or launch, which considers that they will be allocated to their receptors.
Hendrickson will become a free agent after season 2025.
