The owner of the Dallas Cowboys team, Jerry Jones, mocked on Tuesday that he has been working on “two quite substantive trades” before the NFL draft this week.

Jones did not go beyond that during his press conference prior to the draft. Dallas has 10 selections during the seven rounds. The failure of cowboys in making important movements in their recent restrictions has been a source of dismay for fans.

“We are looking at two things that could happen before or after the draft,” he said, through Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Two quite substantive trades. I’ve been working today.”

The cowboys went by signing Derrick Henry in the low season last year. The veteran running at that time signed with the Baltimore Ravens and turned out to have an incredible year.

This year, the team added to the supporter Kenneth Murray, to the runners Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, the corner Kaiir Elam and the defensive lin Solomon Thomas. The team also changed to Campo Marshal Joe Milton of the New England patriots.

All the movements that Dallas made were pieces to reinforce their respective positions. But it is not clear how much real emotion the offers have brought.

The cowboys have also focused on working with the Micah Parsons supporter in a contract extension. Dallas executive Stephen Jones shed some light on negotiations.

“Believe me, if we could sign Micah for a number we wanted to sign it, we would do it now,” he said, through ESPN. “But at this time there is a difference in what we feel is the correct number and what you feel is the correct number.”

Parsons has been in the voluntary program of the low season of the cowboys. He told reporters in a charity event that he hopes that starting early in the low season will contribute to early success in the regular season.
