The Houston Texans corridor Joe Mixon will not be in the field during the first four games of the season.

The Texans will not activate Mixon from the list of injuries that are not football before the deadline of the 4 PM ET on Tuesday, which makes it ineligible to play the first four games.

“We will officially move RB Joe Mixon from the list of active injuries/not football to the list of reserve/non -football injuries”, the statement is read in X. “The players placed in the list of reserve/non -football injuries can start practicing and play after the fourth game of the regular season club. We will provide more updates at an appropriate time.”

Mixon has been dealing with an ankle injury he suffered during the low season.

The 29 -year -old has a solid first season with Houston in 2024, where he ran for 1,016 yards with 11 touchdowns per land. He won Pro Bowl’s honors for his efforts.
