New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins is known for walking barefoot in NFL stadiums, but he really challenged himself before Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

The northeastern United States experienced a winter storm from Saturday night into the morning. It snowed in several states, including Foxborough, Massachusetts. Temperatures at Gillette Stadium were around 32 degrees and would drop below 30 by the time the game ended.

Hollins entered the stadium without shoes or a shirt.

He previously explained why he decided to go barefoot outside of NFL games.

“It started six or seven years ago. I guess it started when I was a little kid, but it restarted about 6 or 7 years ago,” he previously said, according to CBS Boston. “I met some trainers called Melbourne Muscular Therapy in Australia. I flew them from Australia to Philadelphia. They showed up and the way you look at me is the way I was looking at them. They were walking around barefoot in Philadelphia. I thought they might have sent the wrong guys here.

“But that was his philosophy, to be barefoot and get back to your original ways of moving. That led me to training barefoot all the time for two or three years. Then, probably in the last two or three years, I got [into the mindset of] What’s the point?”

He added that it was one less suitcase to pack on the road.
