Quinn Ewers entered the 2024 University Soccer Season with many experts projecting it as a first round in the 2025 NFL draft. But the former Texas field marshal fell to the seventh and last round last month.
Ewers also became the last player in his position to leave the board. This year’s Draft class had 14 quartbacks. The Eweers agent spoke after the fall of the Draft of the Campo Marshal, and the 23 -year -old is now breaking his silence.
Ewers admitted to having to wait until the seventh round to listen to his name called Take him surprises him, but he is also taking the opportunity he has with the Miami Dolphins.

“I didn’t expect to fall as low as me,” Ewers told The Associated Press on Friday. “It is what it is at the end of the day, and I have the same opportunity as everyone else. And I am more than grateful for that. I just want to go there and play my game and learn and develop as a field marshal.”

Ewers enters a field marshal room in Miami that already has Tua Tagovaila and Zach Wilson, the number 2 team in the 2021 draft.

Eweers ended his two-year period as a holder in Texas with a record of 21-5. He helped lift Lonchorns to the appearances in university American football playoffs in the last two seasons. Eweers threw three touchdowns in a two -time dual -quarter -final thriller of CFP against Arizona State.

Ewers’ university soccer career began in the state of Ohio, but was transferred to Texas. He finished his Austin career with 68 touchdowns in his credit.
Tagovaila appeared in just 11 games during the 2024 season. Lesions and long -term health of the Pro Bowl field marshal remain a topic of conversation.
Wilson landed with the Denver Broncos last season after a three -year turbulent race with the New York Jets. Ewers recognized the competitive nature that exists among the Dolphins Campo Marshals.
“There are many guys at this time, and everyone is fighting for the same job,” Ewers said. “And we are all competitive, but it is great at the same time, just because, at the end of the day, some of these types will end up being teammates with us. But you must win the job and gain the trust of those guys too.”
