Shedeur Sanders may have been “caught slipping,” but everyone is safe, as are his most important valuables, after his home was burglarized earlier this week.
When Sanders made his NFL debut on Sunday, three masked suspects broke into his home and stole $200,000 worth of property.
However, not even a dollar was her jewelry, Sanders said.

“I’m in a headspace now where there’s not too many things that can faze me, honestly. And they didn’t take any of my jewelry anyway,” Sanders said in his first comments about the robbery on Wednesday. “So, you know, it just slips. You know, it happens.”
Sanders said his phone has been blowing up since the robbery and he hasn’t been able to chat with many people, including his father, Deion Sanders. Sanders was asked by reporters if his father or brother would be attending the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and he said the only way to contact him would be to essentially go to the game.

“I talked to Shilo. Shilo called me, but I said, ‘Bro, right now, if you want to talk, everyone’s flying in. Come see me, bro. I’m not trying to be on my phone. I’m not trying to do any of that. If you want to talk, just come up to me. Then we can talk from there,'” Sanders said. “Other than that, I don’t even check my phone. Too many people have been texting me, ‘Are you okay?’ Yes, I’m fine. “They didn’t rob me, but my house.”
Sanders said that despite the terrifying situation, he is in a “great place” “mentally and emotionally.”
“In life there will always be adversity. Things will not always go as planned, but I would say that I am prepared for anything,” he said.
A report from Officer Charles Johnson indicated that three suspects ransacked a bedroom, searched nightstands and closets, and used cell phone flashlights as they moved through the home. Footage reviewed by investigators showed the trio leaving the house and carrying several bags before disappearing into the nearby woods.

During the Browns’ 23-17 loss, Sanders came on after starter Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. Sanders was 4 of 16 for 47 yards with an interception. The Ravens also sacked him twice.
