The former Cincinnati Bengals corridor, Rudi Johnson, died, the team announced on Tuesday. He was 45 years old.
Johnson was an outstanding corridor for the Auburn Tigers before the Bengals selected it in the fourth Ronda of the NFL 2001 Draft. He spent seven seasons with the Bengals and one with the Detroit lions. He was a professional bowling player with Cincinnati in 2004.

“Rudi was a good person and an excellent corridor for us,” said the president of the Bengals, Mike Brown, in a statement. “He was reliable and productive as a player, and very popular among his teammates. They all liked and saw him as a dear friend. We are deeply sad for his death.”
TMZ Sports first reported Johnson’s death, citing the family of the former NFL player. Police told The Outlet that Johnson died for suicide.

The former star of the Bengals, Chad Ochocinco, was among those who paid tribute to Johnson on social networks.
Johnson appeared in 81 games for the Bengals from 2001 to 2007. He began all games for Cincinnati in 2004 and ran for 1,454 yards and 12 touchdowns on his way to his team Lone Pro Bowl. A series of three consecutive years began in which he ran for at least 1,000 yards.

He played in 14 games for the lions in 2008 before retiring.
