During the past week, the free fall of Shedersur Sanders in the NFL Draft boards became one of the most commented on the worlds in sport.
While once it was projected as a first round selection, it took until the fifth round so that the name of former Campo de Colorado Marshal left the board. Shortly after the Cleveland Browns selected Sanders on the last day of the annual draft, he turned to social networks to share a brief but emotional message: “Thank God.”
In later days, many in the world of sport and beyond have tried to analyze the fall of Sanders. During a visit to Churchill Downs before the Kentucky Derbyy on Saturday, the field marshal of the Hall of Fame of Professional Soccer, Warren Moon, became one of the last to intervene in the Sanders saga.

Moon, a professional bowling player for nine times during his historic race, offered Sanders as long as he prepared to start his NFL career with the Browns.
“You can’t act like a corner when you’re playing the field marshal. Quarterback is a humble position. You have to be respectful,” Moon said Friday during an appearance in “Up & Adams.”

Moon also reminded Sanders of the great responsibility he would assume as a NFL field marshal.
“You have to be a leader. You are the face of the franchise. There is much more responsibility that comes with him, (and) that is what he has to understand,” Moon added.
When asked to describe his experience of prior interview with the draft with Shedeur, an anonymous assistant coach of the NFL said it was “the worst formal interview” that he had been aware.

Despite the scrutiny that received the process prior to the Sanders Draft, Moon expressed optimism about the opportunity ahead for the young signal call now that he has a clean slate.

“You (Sanders) understand the things that could have done wrong or fair during the process prior to the draft, but now you are written,” said Moon. “You are in an organization. You have the opportunity to go there and make a name for you. This is how you do. This is how you attack it. There is no one there to solidify in that work in the quarterback at this time.”
Sanders ended the 2024 season in Colorado with 4,134 air yards. Will join a field marshal room full of people in Cleveland, joining Deshaun WatsonJoe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.
