Travis Hunter’s father could not attend the Heisman trophy ceremony in December, but he will be able to witness another moment that changes his son.
After being released from a 90 -day prison sentence only one week before the event, the father of the Heisman trophy winner is limited to domestic confinement for a year during his three -year probation.
Hunter Mr., 39, was imprisoned for drug and weapons charges in September of an incident that occurred in 2023. But, a Florida court is making a temporary change for him this week.

Hunter Mr. received permission to travel to Green Bay for the Draft, according to The Palm Beach Post.
Hunter Mr. will limit himself to travel only to and from the hotel and the draft, and must return home on Friday. He was asked to present a travel itinerary to the Community Control Officer, said Palm Beach Post.
When winning the Heisman, Hunter was excited when he talked about his father.

“I want to tell my father something. He is not here and could not do it, but I know you are watching on television. Dad, I love you. For all the things you went through man … Now, look at your older son. I did it for you, man,” he said.
“Every time you couldn’t see me, or the times you came to watch my games. Not seeing two games at high school until I saw me on television every weekend and come to see me. That means a lot to me. I know you wanted to be here, and you can’t, but trust me, I have you. I brought you the trophy home. I love you.”

Hunter is expected to be the second general selection on Thursday night to the Cleveland Browns, just after the probable selection of CAM Ward of the Tennessee Titans.
