The name of Ceedee Lamb will become synonymous with a NFL rule. The infamous celebration of “nose wipe” of the recipient of the Dallas Cowboys appeared in rule 12, section 3, article 1 (d) as one of the gestures that players will be forbidden to make during the games in the future.
“Any violent gesture, which will include, among others, a throat bar, simulating to shoot or fly a gun, or use the gesture of ‘Timpe de Nose’, or an act that is sexually suggestive or offensive,” says the rule.
The League sent the rules report to 32 teams this week.

Anyone who makes the gesture will be subject to a penalty of 15 -yard unsportsmanlike behavior. Pro Football Talk reported that Oning-Wiping’s law is associated with a gang and has been used to “indicate that an individual is not reliable.”

Lamb reacted to the news suggesting that he would turn to other celebrations in the game.

“SMH, I have a lot in mind,” he wrote the three-time All-re receiver, along with a unattered facial emoji, in a publication on social networks in response to a report that quotes the “Timpe of the nose.”
The cowboys selected Lamb in the first round of the NFL 2020 draft, and he has used the gesture in the following seasons. Lamb has been one of the most productive players in his position in the last five years.

He has registered at least 1,000 reception yards in each of the last four seasons and has won Pro Bowl’s honors for four consecutive years. Lamb was lost two games last season, but the 2023 campaign ended with 1,749 reception yards of 1,749 in his career.
Dallas registered a 7-10 record last season. The cowboys separated with Mike McCarthy after the season, and appointed Brian Schottenheimer as the next team coach.
