NFL rules changes: Packers’s proposal for the prohibition of Push Tush not only the application

The Green Bay Packers want the TUSH to outside the NFL, but there are two other changes in the rules that will be voted, the League soccer operations department announced on Wednesday.

It was reported that the Packers were the team that sent a formal proposal to ban the work that Philadelphia Eagles have made famous.

But now it is official after football operations announce that Packers want to change rule 12, section 1.

The proposal to change the official rule of the Packers “would prohibit an offensive player to push a teammate who was aligned directly behind the Pargo and receive the click immediately in the click.”

The proposal also says that a penalty would be evaluated in any offensive player who violates the rule. Tush’s thrust was popularized by the Eagles during the 2022 campaign. Green Bay saw it last season, and the Eagles used it several times in their playoff confrontation on the road to win the Super Bowl.

But the Packers were not the only team that was looking for changes in 2025.

The second of the three proposed rules changes was of the Detroit lions, who wish to see rule 8, section 4, changed “to eliminate a first automatic attempt as a penalty imposed by defensive tenure and illegal contact.”

The current rule for illegal contact and defensive possession is a loss of five yards and a first automatic attempt, and the lions say it is a penalty too strong.

The Lombardi trophy winning eagles are looking for “aligning the extra -season and regular season rules when granting both teams the opportunity to possess the ball, regardless of the result of the first possession, subject to an extra period of 15 minutes in the regular season.”

The extra time rule was discussed for a long time before the NFL finally changed it to allow both teams to have a possession only in the playoffs. The regular season has the old rules, which indicate a touchdown of the first team in possession of football ends the game, without giving the opponent any refutation opportunity.

The lions are also looking for two proposals for statutes for the 2025 season at the annual league meeting. They want a better planting for wild card equipment.

They propose that the structure of the playoff plant change to allow the wild card equipment with better records than the division champions to be higher in the playoffs. No matter the record, the four winners of the division at each conference get a game at home to start the playoffs.

Some wild card equipment ends with better records than their opponents in the Commodines Round.

In 2024, the Minnesota Vikings had 14-3 during the regular season and had to travel to face Los Angeles Rams, winners of the South NFC in 10-7, along the way. The Vikings lost 27-9 in the Commodines Round. The Packers also had a better record than the Rams with 11-6, but they were the seventh seed.

All these changes will be voted during the annual meeting, which begins on March 30.
