The NFL playoff picture began to unfold in Week 15.
The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams each won their respective games and will play well into January. The Broncos were able to hold off the Green Bay Packers while the Rams took care of the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs also learned their fate in the postseason. For the first time since the 2014 season, the Chiefs will not be part of the playoffs. Additionally, Mahomes will reportedly miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

It would be double bad news for the Chiefs.
Teams competing for the playoffs had big wins.
The Buffalo Bills stayed in the race for the AFC East title with a victory over the New England Patriots. The Baltimore Ravens left the Cincinnati Bengals behind and stayed close to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans had big wins, as did the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Philadelphia Eagles left the Las Vegas Raiders behind, breaking their losing streak. The Chicago Bears made it look easy against the Cleveland Browns. The Seattle Seahawks ruined Philip Rivers’ return and kept pace with the Rams.
