NHA achieves a wave of revenue of RS50 billion


Islamabad:

The Minister of Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, informed the Senate on Friday that the National Highway Authority (NHA) achieved a historical increase of RS50 million in revenues during fiscal year 2024-25, with profits rising from 64 billion to RS110 billion, a remarkable 100%increase.

The minister also updated the senators about progress with respect to the access roads of the Lowari tunnel. He said the 33.2 km network is divided into two phases. The first phase, which covers 18.6 km, was completed in 2010 and has been serving traffic since then. The second phase, which extended 14.6 km, saw its southern segment completed in December 2020.
