Nintendo has confirmed that he will finish his Schop’s golden points rewards scheme next month.
The announcement was made on the official website of My Nintendo, confirming that the gain of gold points will be suspended on March 24, 2025. At the time of writing, the website is currently returning an error for that page. But a frequent question (obtained by G nintendo) provides more details, reading:
“As of 9:30 PM PDT on 03/24/2025, users will no longer be able PM PDT in 3/24/2025.
“The gold points will no longer be obtained in physical games that will be launched after 03/24/2025. For the physical games that are launched on 03/24/2025, the gold points can still be obtained by registering eligible titles within a year after the original release date of the game.
“All gold points won will continue to be valid and redeemable for 12 months after they are issued. Note that there are no changes in the way he reserves the gold points that he already won.”
Suspiciously, this is happening approximately a week and a half before Nintendo Switch 2 Direct of Nintendo April 2.
