The great day has finally arrived, and after months and months of rumors, leaks and speculations, we finally have confirmation in the specifications of Nintendo Switch 2.
During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct today, we were offered a deep immersion in Switch 2, including a breakdown of the many functions of the console and a launch date of June 5, June 5.
To begin with, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be the same thickness as the original switch, but will have a larger screen, from 6.2 inches to 7.9 inches. The type of panel is what Nintendo is calling a ‘Vivid LCD’ screen.
Near enough everything has been updated from the original switch, including frame speed, which will now offer 120 pictures per second and 4K HDR support while docked.
The Switch 2 will also have 256 GB of internal storage, and although it may have leaked, Nintendo also revealed that the Joy-Con controllers of the console will have mouse controls that can be magnetically separate from the unit and use for certain games.
There is more to wait, since Nintendo has announced that two Treehouse presentations will be transmitted this week, offering a new look at the Switch 2 game.
The first transmission will be broadcast on April 3 at 7 AM PT / 9AM ET / 2PM BST, and the second will take place at the same time on April 4.
