
Noah Wyle admits that once “lost hope” to win another Nomination to Emmy.
The actor, who stars in HBO Max’s The Pittrevealed in the Nominated Streamer celebration in Hollywood on August 17 that had stopped believing that he would see that day again.
“I am a bit different when he hits. He is hitting an older man, that’s safe,” said Wyle, 54. People’s magazine. “And one that has now existed for 30 years, made many different things … I am overwhelmed by this.”
“He hoped that this was something that my career would be a part again, that this approach would be in my work. It is really surprising,” he continued.
Wyle, who received nominations this year for the main actor in a dramatic series and an outstanding dramatic series (as an executive producer), was last recognized 26 years ago for his interpretation of Dr. John Carter in Jargon.
He obtained five more nods in the secondary actor in a category of dramatic series between 1995 and 1999.
The actor also gave a collaborator and executive producer John Wells a gratitude for helping with his professional growth.
“I give all the credit to John Wells, who is the true godfather of [ER and The Pitt] And it has been the type of mentor figure for me in two of the most rewarding creative experiences of my life, “Wyle said.
“Everything I am doing in this is to please it and remain under its protective umbrella during all the time I can.”
Wyle also became real about the generational change on television, confessing that he now feels like “the older statesman” among the youngest cast.
“You really don’t expect that to happen, but it happened, and now I am seeing this wonderful generation of young talents,” he said. “It’s your time in the sun.”
The Pitt is currently transmitting in HBO Max. Season 2 opens in January, while the 77th Emmy Awards will be broadcast on September 14 at 8 pm Et/5 PM PT ON CBS.
