- It was discovered that the Nothing 3 phone demonstration units passed stock photos as camera sample images
- Nothing explained that this was an “unfortunate supervision”
- Real camera samples nothing 3 are impressive anyway
Nothing has been found in a surprising situation, since the demonstration units of the Nothing 3 phone have been showing photos of stock, taken with professional cameras, and listing them as filmed by phone 3.
A photographer behind one of these images confirmed this to the edge, but although it could easily come to the conclusion that this was an intentional deception of nothing, it seems more likely to be an accident.
Talking about the incident in X, nothing co -founder Akis Evangelidis has said that this situation was an “unfortunate supervision” and that “there was no bad intention.”

They explained that an initial version of the Nothing Phone 3 demonstration units had to be sent with position marker images about four months before the launch, so that the demonstration units could be implemented and tested on time.
The intention was to replace the images of the position marker with photos of samples once the Teleth 3 entered mass production, but for any reason that step did not happen with some demonstration units.
Evangelidis also said that the company is “investigating internally to ensure that such a problem does not happen again.”
A capable camera
We are inclined to believe this explanation, especially since the Telephone Nothing 3 seems perfectly capable of taking impressive photos.
While we have not yet put it in a complete review, some Samples published in X certainly seem striking. Therefore, there should not have been a real need to try to deceit, especially with the risk of being caught.
So I hope this situation does not hinder impressions of what seems to be a very interesting phone, with a different design to any other.
