The Irish male basketball coach of Notre Dame Fighting, Micah Shrewsberry, went on Sunday to a burning pern defending the team after a 15 -point defeat against Louisville cardinals.
Shrewsberry promised to change the program and even reaching the microphone on the podium after the Irish struggle fell to 11-14 in general and 5-9 against ACC opponents.

Notre Dame lost to Louisville, 75-60.
“I understand that many people have renounced us,” said the coach. “Well deserved. If you hate me, absolutely man. Great. If you think it stinks, if you think I can’t train, I’m with you, man, well. Well for you because you can have opinions.
Shrewsberry promised that the team would not give up in the season, even when the prospects of making the tournament look bleak.

“I believe in myself and I believe in these guys … Do not give up these children, man,” he added. “What have they done for people to give up? Not these children do not deserve that.

Shrewsberry took over Mike Brey, who left Notre Dame after the 2022-23 season. He had 37-31 as a coach of Penn State and led them to an appearance in the NCAA tournament in his second season.
