- The Call of Duty Squid Game event has arrived

A new Squid Game crossover event has arrived Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in collaboration with Netflix. It introduces new multiplayer modes to the game, free rewards, and many cosmetic skins.
The highlight for me is the introduction of the Red Light, Green Light multiplayer mode which allows you to recreate the show’s iconic deathmatch. It’s divided into three rounds, and players try to reach the finish line under the watchful eye of the creepy Young-hee doll.
You can only move when the dummy says “Green light”, and unlucky players are executed immediately if they fail. Interestingly, weapons are introduced in rounds two and three, allowing you to speed up the game by eliminating other players yourself.
However, it is not the only new mode, as there is also Pentathlon, which combines Domination, Kill Confirmed and Hard Point with the new Piggy Bank Team Deathmach and Roulette. In Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch, each elimination contributes to a Mega Piggy Bank, which rewards a massive payout during the match.
Roulette rewards players for achieving eliminations with the roulette gun, which has a small chance of killing you each time it is fired.
Squid Game Moshpit seems to offer a more traditional multiplayer experience, although it does have some interesting twists. Includes Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint but with new mechanics inspired by Squid Game. This includes the red light score streak, green light, a piggy bank that can fall into eliminations for extra scoring, and the roulette gun.
Zombies will also be getting the Squid Game treatment with new Squid Game variants of Liberty Falls and Citadelle des Morts. These feature separate phases of Green Light and Red Light, with the latter draining Essence from moving players. There is also a Dead Light phase, which spawns more powerful enemies.
Things are getting complicated in Call of Duty: Warzone Plus, with new Squid Game challenges for players to master.
XP gained in Black ops 6 and war zone contributes to the new Squid Game Event Pass, which is free for all players. There is also an optional Premium Track, which costs 1100 COD points. The free track contains two operator skins (the ‘Player 006’ skin for Niran and the ‘Player 115 Skin’ for Maya), plus a new melee weapon. Those who purchase Premium Track can get new weapon blueprints, as well as the exclusive Front Man operator.
Finally, three new Squid Game packs will arrive in the in-game store. This includes Squid Game 2: Pink Guards Tracer Pack, Squid Game 2: The VIPs Tracer Pack, and Squid Game 2: Young-hee Tracer Pack. The latter gives you the truly creepy operator Young-hee, plus a new finishing move and some other digital goodies.
