Google’s popular flash gemini 2.5 image, better known as Nano Banana, has a new home in Adobe Photoshop. Those with access to the beta application of Photoshop can produce images with Nano banana, better known for making viral figures from photographs, directly within the generative filling tool, together with the adobe fireflies model.
Nano Banana binds to the platform along with a new contextual model of Black Forest Labs, the developers of the image manufacturer used by Grok in X, called Flux.1 Kontext [pro].
It is a remarkable expansion for Adobe’s strategy, which has been based largely on adobe -built models so far. But now, Photoshop users can generate a dreamy and stylized background using nano banana, refine it with realistic shadows through Flux.1 and polish everything using Firefly, all within the generative filling function. Adobe seems to want Photoshop to serve as a center for multiple AI models to compete for their creative attention.
Adobe still encourages users to consider the Firefly model as the option for trade insurance results. Firefly is built for high -end images in terms of quality, consistency and dependence on a database that Adobe has permission to use to train its models.
Nano Banana and Flux have their own strengths, of course. Google’s contribution is known for its stylistic flourishes and striking images, which are based on the text, while Black Forest Labs presents its model as an ideal for more realistic and coherent images.
Now that they are interchangeable within the same fast window, users can try these strengths very quickly. For example, if you have an idea for an illustration of a fantasy story, Nano Banana could add some magical effects, while the flow realistically illuminates a cave, and Firefly cleans everything.
