Jokic played almost 53 minutes, but they were the two free throws of Nickeil Alexander-Walker with 0.1 remaining seconds in the game that pushed the Timberwolves about the Nuggets in the final moments of the game.

Russell Westbrook stole an incoming pass from Minnesota, but a hurried tray was lost that would have put Denver at three points. Minnesota got the ball to Alexander-Walker in the corner, and Westbrook summoned him in a shot.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 34 points.

“That could have been the best game of my life that I have been part of,” Edwards told journalists, through the Star Tribune. “Nikola Jokic, Bruh, my God, he could be the best basketball I’ve seen closely. Besides, for me. Brother, it’s incredible. MVP’s career is hard, man. I don’t know. I had 60. It’s crazy.”

Edwards was 12, 25 from the field and had five triples. He also had 10 rebounds and eight assists.

However, it was Jokic who stole the show.

The three times MVP and the seven-time All-Star added 10 rebounds and 10 assists to their ridiculous statistics line. He had the third triple-double of 60 points in the history of the NBA, following the steps of Luka Doncic in 2022 and James Harden in 2018.

“The Superman of the guy,” said the Nuggets coach, Malone. “It’s on another level, man. People say it’s not Atlético, but not many types can do what he does.”

It was the second time this season Jokic established a better mark of his career for the points. He had 56 points against the Washington Wizards on December 7. He said after the game that was “tired.”

“It was an exhausting game.”

In fact exhausting, but Playoffs’ career is becoming tight.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has secured a playoff place already with the best record in the NBA so far. However, after thunder, the difference between seed No. 2 and seed No. 8 in the West is only six victories.

The Timberwolves sit in seventh place with a record of 44-32 and tied with the Grizzlies of Memphis. There are only half a game behind the Golden State Warriors for the fifth seed and 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for seed No. 4.

Nuggets have seed No. 3 at this time, but there are two games behind the Houston Rockets for seed No. 2 and only 1.5 games in the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Clippers have 43-32 and sit in seed No. 8.

The numbers 7-10 seeds will compete in the game tournament.
