- Lenovo, LG and Razer have leaked some laptops that carry the GPU RTX 5060 and 5050
- These leaks come in the form of a press material or product listings.
- They support the rumor that Nvidia will reveal these mobile graphics cards in a couple of weeks.
It is believed that the NVIDIA RTX 5060 desktop graphics card is landing very soon, maybe next week, in fact, and the laptop’s turn in the GPU may not be far away, since more leaks have indicated its existence, and the RTX 5050 mobile too.
Videocardz reports that these graphics cards of the laptop will arrive in two weeks, and some portable manufacturers have already issued press material or lists of products that accidentally mention the GPUs.
The offensive sellers are Lenovo, LG and Razer, so we are going to take them in that order.
As part of a Unboxing video on YouTube, Lenovo highlighted an Ideapad Pro 5 -inch laptop that will arrive later this year with a NVIDIA RTX 5050 graphics card, with that GPU mentioned in the description of the clip.
More recently, LG announced its Gram Pro laptop for 2025, and in the press release published through its Taiwanese press center, RTX 5050 is also mentioned (not for the first time, you should add).
The laptop manufacturer says: “In addition, the Gram Pro 16 equipped with the discrete graphics card NVIDIA RTX 5050 is also expected to be available for pre-period in the second quarter of this year.”
A note to the foot of the launch also clarifies that the RTX 5050 will be equipped with 8 GB of video RAM.
Finally, the Chinese website of Razer already lists the new Razer Blade 16 by 2025, and one of the GPU options is the RTX 5060 Mobile.
Analysis: waiting for the best, but fearing the worst (at least in terms of offer)
While the GPUs of the RTX 5060 and 5050 laptop computer supposedly come with 8 GB of video RAM on board, there could be a slower vram in the Lessser model. As Videcardz points out, instead of the new (and much faster) GDDR7 as seen in other Blackwell GPU, Nvidia can return to GDDR6 with this smaller range range model. (It is rumored that this is the case of the RTX 5050 desktop, without a doubt, and yes, the theory is that there will be a desktop on the graphics card this time, when there was never an RTX 4050 desktop).
Since on the side of the desktop GPU of the equation, it is assumed that the RTX 5060 TI will arrive next week, and it is expected that the RTX 5060 will also be revealed. If Videocardz is correct, Nvidia will have a separate advertisement the following week for these mobile GPUs.
We will see, but with these graphics cards of the laptop they appear in multiple places now, with a specific mention of the availability of Q2 in one case (LG), which means a launch before June 2025, it seems like a good bet that they are approaching.
Without a doubt, many players will be interested in seeing what type of price of more affordable price using the RTX 5050 GPU could land, and if these will be excellent laptops of budgetary games (or not). Much of that will depend on the performance level of RTX 5050, of course, and we still do not have many rumored specifications for this model (or the 5060 laptop, for the case).
Availability is also a concern here, since, although laptops with Blackwell GPU inside are officially launched at the end of March, you cannot buy them. All were listed as exhausted from the beginning, and although they should be available throughout April, it is not clear in what type of quantities. However, the way Blackwell Supply has gone so far does not become confidence.
