- It is rumored that RTX 5060 TI of Nvidia has 16 GB and 8GB versions
- It is now claimed that the 16 GB version will arrive first, later in March, and the 8GB model in the first half of April
- There will be concerns about that load of 8 GB, but we must not forget the other VRM specifications that are relevant here
The NVIDIA RTX 5060 is apparently the next Blackwell graphics card to go on sale, well, after the imminent RTX 5070 that arrives at the beginning of March, and will occur in flavors of 16 GB and 8GB.
Wccftech brings Word – grabs the Saltshaker and uses liberally, of unidentified sources that, according to the reports, Nvidia intends to launch the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB version first, in the second half of March. The 8GB model will allegedly reach the following month, although it should be in the first half of April.
The details of the nucleus specifications are not provided here, especially, except for an assumption that these graphics cards will be built in the GB206 chip as previously rumored (the Blackwell Silicon, which is a level below GB205, the RTX 5070 engine ).
However, what we learn is that it is said that NVIDIA stays with a 128 -bit memory bus, which is the same as RTX 4060 TI models.
If you think it is disappointing that the VRM (video RAM) capacity and the bus specifications do not change, do not forget that the rumor believes that Nvidia is using GDDR7 with its RTX 5060 models, the fastest video memory present in the Blackwell line existing -Arriba.
Because it is much faster, which is executed at 28 Gbps, instead of 18 Gbps with the RTX 4060 TI, the general bandwidth will be considerably stronger with the RTX 5060 TI, more than 50% faster in theory in theory . Therefore, do not worry about the lack of thrust performance on the VRM front, in summary.
Finally, they tell us that the RTX 5060 TI will have an energy use of 180W, which is a step forward of its predecessor, but only by 20W more or less. It will still be a GPU that can be executed with a relatively modest power supply, in other words, and apparently, the RTX 5060 TI will also have tables that use a traditional 8 -pin power connector to obtain a relatively problems without problems. (This is despite some previous speculations that indicate that NVIDIA would demand the new 12V-21×6 connector for all Blackwell GPUs, although it will be present in about 5060 IT cards, they tell us).
Analysis: even more vram controversy, potentially
This is not the first time we listen to rumors about the RTX 5060 TI that reflects the RTX 4060 TI with variants of 16 GB and 8 GB. And like the Lovelace boards of the previous generation, this means that the XX60 Ti graphics card can have more vram than the class model XX70-16 GB versus 12 GB, if disbursement for the RTX 5060 ti more expensive.
That takes us to the price issue, where Wccftech tells us that nothing concrete has been heard yet in the vine. The RTX 5060 TI will obviously have to start in an MSRP of considerably less than the RTX 5070, which is $ 549 / £ 539, and the WCCFTECH assumption from $ 400 to $ 500 (the latter for high -end 16GB cards) It seems correct.
However, I suppose Nvidia will not have made that final decision, and it is very likely that you are waiting to see how the RX 9070 models, or in fact RX 9060, that it is rumored to be broadcast at the AMD GPU event at the end of this week – Bread for your MSRP.
The price of the 8 GB variant of RTX 5060 TI could be a difficult matter, since there were many complaints about RTX 4060 TI that had no power for video memory with that VRM group. Now, we are in a generation, so Nvidia adheres to the same load will fall like a lead balloon with enough PC players, I can guarantee it.
Of course, the general increase in the speed of VRM caused by the introduction of GDDR7 (in theory) must be considered, as I already observed, and the same goes for the new Nvidia tricks to obtain more from the video memory with the generation of Blackwell. But I suppose that some players will be difficult to persuade the notion that simply on a gross capacity front, 8GB only looks too thin for any true future proof here (even 1080p games).
However, I am advancing here: we need to see what Nvidia reveals first, of course, even if the vine seems quite consistent with its rumors here (which tends to be a sign that they are in money, although it is no guarantee of no way).
What is also interesting here is that the RTX 5060 is not mentioned, and when it could come. If the 8 GB taste of RTX 5060 TI does not appear until perhaps in mid -April, can that mean that the Vanilla RTX 5060 could be pushed to May, maybe? Those other rumors about delays for NVIDIA RTX 5060 models seem to be supported by this last speculation, in any case.
