NYT Connections Today (game #624) – The answers
The responses to today’s connections, game #624, are …
- Yellow: Eat voraciously Gobble, drink, scarf, wolf
- Green: fold under pressure Incline, buckle, cave, give
- Blue: classic nautical tattoos Anchor, Compass, Mermaid, Swallow
- Purple: more letter parts Butte, China, Hearth, Shine
- My qualification: Moderate
- My score: Perfect
I fought a little to get going today. I was convinced that anchor and drink were classic tattoos, but I didn’t see the nautical link until later. Meanwhile, with Butte and Cave, I initially thought we were looking for something geographical. But no, we were looking for rear and pimples.
I have a friend who comes from a family who eats voraciously. It is as if their plates were in flames or will be swept from the table if they stop. It is a sight show, but a little uncomfortable when eating outside, since they have finished when I just started.
I would not say that I am a slow dining room, although I am aware of the advice that you must chew every bite 37 times to help digestion. I like to appreciate my dish before I do, otherwise we could simply swallow pills and Soylent.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.

What are NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the several increasingly popular words games made by the New York Times. It challenges him to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple generally very difficult.
On the positive side, he technically does not need to solve the end, since he can answer it for an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some space to breathe.
However, it is a bit more involved than something like Wordle, and there are many opportunities for the game to move you with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other words games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free through the Nyt Games site in desktop or mobile.
