- Yellow: Influence Juice, pull, balancing, weight
- Green: Amass Group, collect, concentrate, group
- Blue: Types of fiction Fan, historical, pulp, science
- Purple: Starting with mathematics and science classes, to abbreviate Biopic, calcium, chemistry, triglycerid
- My qualification: Hard
- My score: 2 errors
While it was very tempting to find a group that could contain pulp, concentrate and juice, I could not find a fourth word, so the temptation to throw into a random word resisted. This is my most common type of connection error, so I am pleased.
However, this left me in a situation in which I could not see a single group, other common connections that feel these days.
Fortunately, I remembered another meaning for juice and gathered the influence group.
Somehow, I managed to obtain the green group after seeing the link between science and pulp, but this is where the good times ended.
I thought that triglycerid and chemistry belonged together, but after two attempts to try to pass the height of the finish line, I changed the tracks and saw the green group much more obvious. Phew!
NYT Connections responses yesterday (Saturday, August 9, game #790)
- Yellow: Result Fruit, product, return, performance
- Green: Types of jokes Dad, inside, beaten, practical
- Blue: Movies with supernatural romance Casper, Ghost, leave me in, twilight
- Purple: corn things Labyrinth, Muffin, Seda, Syrup
What are NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the several increasingly popular words games made by the New York Times. It challenges him to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple generally very difficult.
On the positive side, he technically does not need to solve the end, since he can answer it for an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some space to breathe.
However, it is a bit more involved than something like Wordle, and there are many opportunities for the game to move you with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other words games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free through the Nyt Games site in desktop or mobile.
