A work colleague recently mentioned that he really didn’t like the phrase “They don’t care”, so I made an effort to stop saying it.
It seemed incredibly difficult and I realized that I say it practically every time someone says thanks. I struggled to find a decent alternative: “My pleasure” makes it sound too much as if I had enjoyed what was too much, “without sweat” it seems that it was too easy, and “it is not a problem” sounds like was A problem. I fought for him for a few days and then decided that it was not worth worrying.
Anyway back to the puzzle. This was my ideal type of connections, almost difficult enough to be satisfactory, but not too complicated that had been for a long time.
I was delighted to get the purple group, which ended with fish, but came after my only error in the round, when I panicked after not seeing links in the eight words he had left at that point.
Then I remembered to do what we should always do when the words seem too random and look at the end of each one. Sweet joy and relief continued.

What are NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the several increasingly popular words games made by the New York Times. It challenges him to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple generally very difficult.
On the positive side, he technically does not need to solve the end, since he can answer it for an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you some space to breathe.
However, it is a bit more involved than something like Wordle, and there are many opportunities for the game to move you with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other words games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free through the Nyt Games site in desktop or mobile.
